Terms and Conditions

  1. An initial introductory visit be undertaken at the client’s home to meet both the owner and the cat(s). This will ensure that all parties are happy to undertake the booking.
  2. The client will be asked to complete a signed application form providing details about their cat(s) and their home to ensure that all parties understand the terms of engagement.
  3. A deposit of 25% will be required when the booking is confirmed with the balance due on the client’s return home.  An invoice will be provided if required. Payment on invoice is due within seven days of the date of the invoice.
  4. A diary will be emailed to you on your return. On each visit this will be completed, giving details of the visit and your cat(s) welfare.
  5. Where agreed as part of the contract text/WhatsApp or email messages will be sent at agreed periods giving details of your cat(s) welfare.
  6. In the event that the client needs to cancel the booking, we will require a minimum of 24 hours notice prior to the agreed commencement date.  Failure to do so may, at our discretion, incur a surcharge of 25% of the total booking charge.
  7. If, in an unavoidable situation, we cancel the booking a full refund will be provided.
  8. Payment can be made in cash, cheque or bank transfer.
  9. Failure to pay the deposit will result in cancellation of the contract. Overdue invoices will be charged at 5% above the Bank of England base rate.
  10. The party signing the contract for service will be responsible for payment of invoices – thus if in an emergency you arrange for us to care for a pet belonging to a relative or friend you will be held responsible for settlement of the bill.
  11. If the client’s absence is unavoidably extended and the contract is to be extended please contact us by phone, text or email.  Please ensure that you have received our confirmation that we have received your instructions.  If no confirmation is forthcoming please contact us again.  This is to ensure that your pet is protected and that there is no misunderstanding due to lack of communication with regard to the extension.
  12. Care4MyPet agrees to services in accordance with the brief agreed with the client prior to the commencement of the contract.
  13. The company cannot accept any liability for the loss, illness or injury suffered by your pet and/or loss or damage to property and/or the security of  your home. .
  14. If the client’s cat(s) is ill whilst in the care of Care4MyPet and veterinary treatment is required, the client will pay the veterinary bill in full on return either directly to the veterinary practice or to Care4MyPet (whichever is appropriate). Care4MyPet will make immediate contact with the client for further instructions should veterinary care become necessary.
  15. If Care4MyPet has to provide additional food or medication during the client’s absence. where insufficient has been left to carry out feeding/medication per the client’s specific instructions, the client will reimburse Care4MyPet in full on their return.
